Can I Honor Deceased Loved Ones?

What are some upbeat ways I can call attention to deceased friends and relatives on my wedding day?

The main goal here is to keep things cheerful and eyes dry. Upbeat ideas include choosing a favorite poem of the deceased and printing it in your wedding program; having your bridesmaids wear his or her favorite color; and carrying a bouquet filled with flowers that remind you of him or her.

There’s no sweeter way to remember someone than with desserts. You can use a deceased loved one’s cake recipe for the wedding cake or serve one of his or her famous or all-time favorite desserts in addition to the wedding cake. If you go with a sweet treat, mention his or her name on the menu cards.
