Any Ways to Memorialize
Dearly Departed?

What are some upbeat ways I can remember
deceased relatives and friends on my wedding day?

It’s a touching idea to find a way to honor those you have
loved. Here’s how: You can pay tribute to them in your wedding
program by either inserting a small paragraph about them or including
their photograph. You could also decide to choose a favorite poem
or reading of the deceased; print it in the program and have it
read at the ceremony.
Other options are to use your loved one’s favorite color
throughout your day or fill your bouquet with flowers that remind
you of him or her. If you’re planning to display some photographs
at the reception, add a few favorites of you with the deceased to
the collage.
And finally, there’s no sweeter way to remember someone than
with desserts. You can use her treasured recipe for the wedding
cake or serve one of her famous or all-time favorite desserts in
addition to the wedding cake. If you go with a sweet treat, be sure
to print the person’s name next to the dessert on the menu
cards.
